We are very excited indeed to have received and installed our new Solent Offshore SKZ sewing machine.
The addition of this medium to heavy weight ‘top of the range’ sewing machine to our quiver of machines, enables us to take on another sailmaker, as well as speed up our general production time simply by being a faster machine than our much loved and reliable Adler machine.
Solent Sewing machines of Portsmouth are renowned worldwide in the sailmaking industry as being THE choice of sewing machine to the discerning sailmaker, which is why we have had all of our sewing machines supplied and serviced by them.
We have also been lucky enough to have received assistance from the European Regional Development Fund to part fund this project, for which we are exceptionally grateful. This European investment has helped us to expand as a business, take on new employees, and decrease our production times.
We also hope that in some small way, we are helping the economy slowly get back on its feet again, as more and more people start to once again buy British, and support the local economy.
